Dry needling
Complaints and causes
When you experience muscle tension that is too high, painful and possibly spasmic places can develop in your body. These places we call ‘trigger points’. With the dry needling technique we can easily relieve these muscle problems. The physiotherapist first checks your muscles to look for trigger points.
What does a dry needling treatment look like?
Pushing the needle into the skin is something you usually do not feel. If the right trigger point is reached, the muscle tenses for a second, which can feel as a cramp. After that the muscle relaxes instantly, and you can easily move (again). To keep up with the improved situation, you will receive exercises and focused advice.
